Four generations pose for a family picture. Top row
(left to right): Kristin, Jeanne, and Susan. Bottom row (left to right):
Kristin's husband Army Major John DuMond with their daughter Megan, my dad Keith
Ryan, and Susan's husband Phil Henderson and their son Shane.
Kristin holds an MSA (Masters in Administration) and is currently a full-time
mom. Susan (ME in Engineering) is an electrical engineer. John, who
has an MA in International Studies with a certificate in International Security,
is on active military duty overseas. Phil is a civil and mechanical
engineer and owns Henderson Engineering. Dad, 88, sold life insurance for
over 50 years. After retiring, he worked as a security guard until health
problems forced a second retirement two years ago.
I introduce you to my family because each person in it is very important to me.
Each member of YOUR family is important to me too. I want you to have the
highest quality of life you possibly can because that's what I want for my own
family.
As your city councilperson, I will work for you and your family as hard as I
work for my own. This is my commitment to you whether your family consists
of one person, you, or whether you've surpassed mine with five generations in
the family portrait.
